Dear GAMERS & fellow Anaesthetists,

We are happy to announce the Medusys GAS App, which is a giant leap towards our vision of providing quality education in Anaesthesia. As you all know, Medusys under Dr Gurunath Murthy & Prashanth Magadi, has been working on clinical databases and registries in Peripheral Nerve Blocks with their product RAD App available for use in regional anaesthesia in last few years.
In pursuit of my vision to further education in Anaesthesia and effectively disseminate evidence based practice tools along with continuous education, I initiated a project with Medusys for the development of clinical databases in CNB (spinal and epidurals), Labour and Obstetrics as well, along with effective tools in Anaesthesia Education.
Medusys has designed and developed the software platform according to GAS needs and will be soft launching various modules for pilot use by first week of June 2022. We are planning to launch the product in November 2022 at TACON Hyderabad.

Medusys-GAS App will have Clinical Databases in CNB, Labour Analgesia & Obstetrics along with a simple logbook with features like advanced data analytics, which cannot only be used to document your practice but also in benchmarking and publications/presentations for safety and quality improvement of care.
Over the last ten years we have successfully used Facebook to further education in anaesthesia, analgesia and intensive care. It has helped thousands of Anaesthetists across the globe especially the third world. However, we currently do not have the indexing ability for topic wise discussion as well as maintaining a proper library of education material.
We will be able to collaborate with others for research, education (organizing conferences) and even for those who want to seek jobs abroad. I envision this to be a great platform, where doctors can browse the latest equipments and technologies which are endorsed for their quality, reliability, and applicability by their peers.

In addition to these modules, Medusys platform will also have Patient Management System tools such as e-consent, e-feedback and even tele-health (Remote Pre-anaesthesia Check Up and Pre-op advice including pre-habilitation). This could also include videos that would explain patients the procedures related to surgery and anaesthesia.
The future of education in anaesthesia is bright for GAME (Global Anaesthesia Medical Education) Changers (The Faculty) and GAMERs (The Members). I Look Forward to Years of collaborative learning, research and better patient care through technology and AI.
